Cyrtomium fortunei 'Clivicola', also known as Fortune's Holly fern, has fresh green fronds of segemnted leaves, giving it the appearance of holly leaves. Cyrtomium fortunei 'Clivicola' prefers deep shade, and has a yellowy green, which become paler if given more sunlight levels. Will tolerate alkaline conditions, but will thrive in acidic to neutral soil-normal woodland compost, or leaf mould will keep this fern happy in a shady garden setting.

Foliage is fern-like and green - medium. This cyrtomium can grow up to 60cm in height and 40cm in spread after around 2-5 years. It is hardiness level h4 (-10c) and is best suited to moist well drained soil. Grows optimally under partial shade or shade.
